Our Company, based in Lucca, Italy, was founded in 1987 under the name of Italpaper and, since that time, it has been active in trading pulp, recovered paper and paper products on both domestic and international markets.
Under Raffaello Bocci’s leadership, Italpaper has built and maintained a sterling, 30+ year reputation in the marketplace. The expertise and the various skills, achieved through our experience and service in the raw materials for the paper business industry, have brought many leading companies to see us as the ideal partner to vehicle their products into the Italian, Europe and non-European Countries.
The commitment to the environmental aspects related to the forestry industry has strengthened our positions with customers and suppliers. We have been certified by the main management system (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) and responsible forest management (FSC®, PEFC™) which guarantee that our raw material supplies come from well-managed forests and from controlled and non-controversial sources.
In January 2018 Central National Gottesman Inc., after a long-term commercial relationship, acquired a majority stake in Italpaper. This acquisition enhanced CNG role in European Regions’ pulp business and drove Italpaper and Central National to decide that it is time to move to a trade name that more accurately reflects the greatly expanded role of Lucca in Central National’s pulp business and alignment to CNG policy.
On July 20th 2020, Italpaper S.r.l. has changed his trade name to CNG Fiber Trade Europe S.r.l.
On March 31st 2022, Central National Gottesman Inc. acquires all the shares of the majority stake, becoming the sole owner; the new Board of Directors was appointed and Vania Bertoncini has now become the new Managing Director.
